OK GO album cover and Visual Mapping

We watched that TED talk on Visual Mapping and I immediately thought of Stefanie Posavec's album cover designs for OK GO's newest album "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky".

The graphics are tightly composed representations of lyrical patterns, subjects, stressed and unstressed syllables, and rhythmic changes.

This is VERY hard to explain, but she has some information on her website about the project along with several other graphic tidbits that are wonderful examples of conceptual design being done RIGHT!

for more information buy the album and read about the designs in the back of the booklet... wonderful album... wonderful designs... wonderful experience.

  1. Wow Josh, this is really incredible stuff. She (Stephanie Posavec) is an amazing infographics artist . Did you recognize her political map done with David McCandless?
I recommend that everyone check this out. Thanks!
