Biomimicry In Design

This piece is an example of sustainable art because it mimics the appearance of bones, and acts as a chair for people. The design of this piece of furniture was created with nature in mind, showing the structure of bones.http://www.nist.gov/public_affairs/techbeat/tb2006_0413.htm

This design is an example of Biomimicry because it takes trees, and makes them into so much more than shade-providers. These "trees" also act as solar panels. So, with this design, you get a cool looking enviroment, shade, and tons of free electricity and power.

This peice is an example of sustainable art because it takes the concept of trees, and turns it into something that people can use in their homes. Normally, you cannot use tee branches as a shelf to hold things, like pictures, or heavy books, but with this design you can.
