About a week before I even knew about our plan to make a site visit to Anne Cramer's studio I was looking in the St. Paul Pioneer Press at one of her designs. However I did not remember her name so it was of course a good surprise when I found out that it was her work that I had been admiring.
I think one thing that we all learned during this visit and even during our various initial projects in this school is that it actually is okay to procrastinate sometimes. Anne shared with us that part of her design process does not always involve cracking away at the problem right away. Sometimes you have to wait for the idea to come to you.
I sort of had already found this out, but it was so refreshing to hear it from someone who is already recognized for her work.
too true...
